Ralph Lausten

Ralph Lausten was born on September 2, 1948 in Hollister, CA. Ralph grew up in a cattle ranching and farming family that came to California in the mid 1800’s. Cattle and horses have been his passion from an early age, especially bucking horses. After being discharged from the Navy in 1968, he competed locally in Saddle Bronc Riding and Team Roping, and went to work for Rodeo Great, Gene Rambo.

Eventually he partnered with Milo Dewitt on some mares and started a herd of his own. Ralph is proud of his Empire Rodeo partners and is looking forward to producing good bucking horses, a few good rodeos and having fun doing it!
